2022 Reading Olympics Results

We sincerely thank all our Reading Olympians, teachers, staff, families, sponsors, and community partners for an extremely successful read-a-thon fundraiser. All student who participated by tracking their reading minutes and submitting a signed Reading Log received a Participation Ribbon and Prize Ticket to exchange for ANY PRIZE during Fun Fair (Friday, April 29th | 6PM-8PM). Students who also raised funds received a prize from one of the five Olympic Levels.
Everyone worked tremendously hard to EXCEED our two school goals of TOTAL MINUTES READ (129,739 total minutes) and TOTAL MONEY RAISED ($19,133.57)! We are all looking forward to POPCORN DAY and EXTRA RECESS to celebrate our group effort!
Finally, we congratulate this year's Top 3 Readers per grade, Honorable Mentions, and Top 3 Classrooms per grade!

THIS IS IT! We've made it to the last day of READING OLYMPICS! Today is the day to give it your best and read as much as you can so it can count towards your minutes goal. Don't forget that D.E.A.R minutes read during school today count towards your goal, too!
We also have the results of our second Guess the Masked Reader competition for this year. All Reading Olympic teams viewed the videos and submitted their guesses. Once again, we got a lot of creative answers! Here's how the season ended:

The identities will be reveled Friday morning during Morning Announcements, as well the classroom winners of the prize drawing.

Our annual read-a-thon is a fantastic way to get students excited about reading, while helping our school. For 12-days, students in all grades will set reading goals, and compete for fun prizes at various levels. We'll have fun activities every day, and hope everyone will participate in reaching our school's two goals: 100,000 total minutes read and $10,000 raised!
Being a Reading Olympian is even easier with a Get Movin' online page.
